One Bass

The 1xFour string MM Bass & 1xZoom B.2 standard stage multi~effects pedal developed over an eight month period in 2010. Every composition within this collection was created using that same bass guitar. Percussion aside, no additional instruments were used. The project explored atmosphere, rhythm and emotional architecture through careful composition. Rather than functioning as set pieces, many of the songs behave like locations, weather systems, memories or transitions within the wider SixWigWams world.

With an expanded collection of instrumental compositions awaiting collaborative and vocal interpretation, these works span multiple styles, atmospheres and narrative spaces, including cinematic material, lyrical structures, experimental arrangements and long-form conceptual pieces. Some compositions connect directly to existing SixWigWams themes, while others stand independently. The intention is to discover creative partnerships and build on vocalists capable of inhabiting the emotional and symbolic architecture already embedded within the music.
